Sing a song for me.

The Best Times

The Best Times of my life
Weren’t all about the perfect places, happy music, or rainbow skies
It’s the tears, it’s the fears, it’s all the uncertainties
It’s the laughter, the smiles that make my days worthwhile

And I should say I’d never make it without you all the way
And I should say I want to…

Stay another moment, Sing another song
Spend a few more hours, making memories to bring along
And I’ll miss all the faces that made me remember just how much I’ve grown
Coz’ these are the Best Times

Back then, we used to wish to make it to the end
Now the last of the days has begun
And I find it hard
To picture ourselves far apart

Still I should say there’s not a thing that could ever replace the times
That made me exactly who I am
And I wish I could…

Stay another moment, Sing another song
Spend a few more hours, making memories to bring along
And I’ll miss all the faces that made me remember just how much I’ve grown
Coz’ these are the Best Times

Nobody said this was the end
This goodbye won’t really last forever
Just this once please let me say before we ever miss the days
I love you in so much different ways

We used to wish to make it to the end
Now the last of the days has begun
And I find it hard to picture ourselves far apart

Still I should say there’s nothing that could ever replace the times
That made me exactly who I am

Stay another moment, Sing another song
Spend a few more hours, making memories to bring along
And I’ll miss all the faces that made me remember just how much I’ve grown
Coz’ these are the Best Times

This song reminds me of my TRUE FRIENDS. Really, I really miss them. I really miss High School. And when I say High School, it doesn't mean my school, studies or teachers. What I meant by High School is my friends, the memories I had with them whether GOOD or BAD, the bondings, the puyatan just to do school stuffs, the tambay-mode, the kulitan, the chismisan, etc.

I cannot say that I have a PERFECT barkada. Sometimes, we also had little fights, tampuhan, asaran, minsan selosan.   But I believe, it was all part of growing up. It made our FRIENDSHIP stronger. It made us realize that 'Even if we have a lot of differences, we are compatible.'

The thing is:

"WE study while we enjoy our lives being teenagers."

You know what I mean. Not all barkadas can do that. I mean, we had fun even if we study up to dawn. We can still wake up at 4 am even if we just slept at around 3 am doing powerpoint presentations, making homeworks and projects due at the same time, and designing and building houses. We still can smile and laugh despite of all the demands of our teachers (REALLY!). We enjoyed without sacrificing our studies. I really enjoyed my HIGH SCHOOL LIFE. Thank you friends.

Cause these are the Best Times
